Another choice is of course, the street vendors that you can find at the street corners or night markets. You can always get delicious Taiwanese snacks with inexpensive prices at street vendors.
In your neighborhood there are also places where you can find other things you need. When you want to mail letters or Christmas gifts to your friends, you can go to the post office. When you want to save your money or get a loan, you can go to a bank. To get your clothes cleaned, you can go to a dry cleaner. A hair salon is the place to go when you want to get a hair cut. When you are sick, you can see a doctor in a hospital or get some medicine at a drugstore. In short, you can get everything in a community to support your needs and make your life comfortable.
Another major function of a community is to satisfy people’s needs of entertainments because we all want to have fun. If you’re an intellectual person, you can spend the Saturday afternoon at a bookstore reading, or visit the museums. If you want to enjoy the sunshine, you can take a walk in the park.
